Confidentiality

There are many factors to consider when using a Business Advisor.  Working with a professional Advisor can bring significant value to the complex process of a business transaction, and help you complete the transaction in a confidential manner.

At Legacy, we consider confidentiality to be of critical importance, throughout the entire transaction process.   As members of the IBBA (International Business Brokers Association), we operate under a strict code of ethics (Article 1 of that code states that we will "avoid disclosing facts which are confidential under the scope of agency duties owed to our clients").

Our Professional Advisors can promote your business without employees, customers, suppliers or others knowing it is for sale.  All buyers are required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) in order to protect the seller's information.

We monitor confidentiality throughout the transaction process in order to minimize the risk of exposure to the parties involved.  Knowledge of a sale or listing to key employees, customers, and/or suppliers is sensitive and needs to be coordinated and timed appropriately to deliver a smooth transition process.
